Anxiety

Anxiety:

Anxiety is a normal biological response to when you feel threatened.  It is related to the 'flight-fight' response.  It can be defined as feeling uneasy about an uncertain outcome.

Anxious people very often overestimate the threat and underestimate their ability to deal with it.  It is very normal to feel anxious from time to time.  Normally, feelings of worry will stop after a while, however if after a long time or if the feelings remain very strong, it may be time to seek hypnotherapy.

The fight or flight response releases hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline in addition to diverting blood from the core; you may find yourself experiencing shaky legs or butterflies in your stomach.

Other physical symptoms many people experience are:

Headaches.

Trembling.

Difficulty getting to sleep or waking during the night.

Needing the toilet more or less frequently.

Feeling lightheaded.

Raised blood pressure.

There are many hypnotherapy approaches that can help and turn down the anxiety to a more natural level.
