Mindfulness

Mindfulness:

Mindfulness is bringing conscious awareness - being in the 'here and now'.  Experiencing openness, interest and receptiveness.  Engaging in 'being' and not always 'doing'.

Allowing feelings to come and go rather then trying to control them.  Observing your thoughts, even painful ones can help them to seem less threatening and more bearable, reducing the impact and influence over your life.

Both mindfulness and hypnosis have similar social, neurophysiological and linguistic characteristics.  Mindfulness can enhance hypnotherapeutic outcomes.

Hypnosis can help in the clearing of obstacles and blocks to mindfulness practice.
